My Brothers, Friends and Ladies:
We are finalizing our 2019 VMAP activities and will submit them to our Deputy for signature and ultimately to the Supreme Council for review and evaluation. I believe we have advanced in VMAP with a few more activities added to the list of previous achievements and implemented during the 2019 year. Regardless of the feedback we receive after our submission is reviewed, I want to thank the many who have participated in a variety of ways to increase these activities. What we have accomplished and what we have added would not have been possible without you. After we receive feedback on how successful we have been, I will share this feedback with you in a future edition of the eNews.
While our spring reunion is a couple of months away, it seems as though it is just around the corner, and now is the time to close the deal with those brothers you have been courting to join us and become a Master of The Royal Secret. Also, now is the time to schedule your degree rehearsals and ensure props, and other items are ready. A continually improving reunion experience is what we desire to deliver to those who will be joining us. The Committee on Work (COW) hosted their first Degree Master meeting this morning (2/15) and a lot of effort is being expended by this committee to ensure we continue raising the bar
As we start the new Masonic Year, we have invited the Worshipful Master’s and their ladies from the 36 Masonic Lodges in our area to join us for dinner and the evening’s program on the 28th of February. We will congratulate each one who attends, acknowledge their achievement of being elected and installed as Worshipful Master, and wish them each a successful year in the East. Our meeting on the 28th will start with dinner at 6:30 pm and move into the Lodge room at 7:30 pm for an open meeting (membership in the A.A.S.R. is not required). The program for the evening will start with the Ring Ceremony, followed by the Knighting of all-new Masters of The Royal Secret. Please make every effort to attend this open meeting so we can warmly welcome our new members, and congratulate our newly installed Worshipful Masters.
As you are aware, the A.A.S.R. is an organization that confers or communicates twenty-nine additional degrees and is structured to provide additional education to assist a Master Mason to grow and expand his knowledge and understanding of our great fraternity. I am confident that there are many of you out there who have a particular subject, topic, thought or experience that could be shared that would be of interest to brothers that receive our eNews. If you would like to prepare an article (and I strongly encourage you to do so) for a future edition, please get with me via eMail or text and give me a quick overview of what your topic will be and when you can have it ready. We will then schedule your article in a future edition
Until next time, remember the many things for which you are thankful! Be safe in your travels; “whisper wise counsel in the ear of an erring brother;” and respect the dignity of all, as it makes you and our fraternity stronger one action at a time. We want to ensure that what we are enjoying today will be strong for those who will follow. Simply stated – “We lead the way today, so those who follow us can lead the way tomorrow!” Thanks for your continued support and participation; and may the “Spirit of Fraternity” reign supreme within our “Valley of Orlando!”
May you and yours be blessed with health, happiness, and prosperity in 2020!
Fraternally,
Ill:. Chester A. “Chet” King, 33°
