My Brothers all:
We are now where we end one year and start another – an ending and a new beginning! Now is the time, to keep balance and ensure a smooth transition by evaluating the 2019 year then plan for the coming 2020 year. At our last Executive Committee meeting, we talked about the Valley Membership Achievement Project (VMAP) as the benchmark by which we measure success and shortfalls of our Valley. We ask the chairman of each category to evaluate our accomplishments in 2019 and provide a narrative to be included in the annual VMAP workbook for submission to the VMAP Committee at Supreme for consideration. We consolidated the performance information and evaluated to determine how to improve our performance through the roadmap of VMAP to continue a successful membership journey. We want to ensure a quality experience for all members from the newest Master of the Royal Secret to the most senior 33° Inspector General Honorary, and all members in between.

At our January stated meeting, I will share a “State of The Valley” overview and offer thoughts on moving forward. I look forward to sharing this update to ensure you are in the know. This informative presentation will be data-driven, allowing time for you to offer program suggestions and continuous improvement ideas.
The Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite is an organization that confers and communicates twenty-nine additional degrees and is structured to provide additional Masonic Education assisting a Master Mason in growth and expansion of his knowledge and understanding of our great fraternity. I am confident there are many of you out there who have a particular subject, thought, or experience of interest that brothers within the Valley would like to read in our eNews. If you would like to prepare an article for a future edition, please get with me via eMail or text providing a quick overview of your topic and when you can have it ready to schedule for a future edition.
Until next time, remember the many things for which you are thankful! Be safe in your travels; “whisper wise counsel in the ear of an erring brother;” and respect the dignity of all, as it makes you and our fraternity stronger one action at a time. We want to ensure that what we are enjoying today will be strong for those who will follow. Simply stated – “We lead the way today, so those who follow us can lead the way tomorrow!” Thanks for your continued support and participation; and may the “Spirit of Fraternity” reign supreme within our “Valley of Orlando!”
May you and yours be blessed with health, happiness, and prosperity in 2020!
Fraternally,
Ill:. Chester A. “Chet” King, 33°
