My Brothers All: Congratulations to our newly invested KCCH Brothers, and coronated 33° Inspectors General Honorary. Both ceremonies went well and hopefully all these newly honored brothers will continue to reflect on the lessons contained therein, and put them to work every day. The banquet was well attended and our guest speaker for the evening offered an interesting and challenging thoughts. Thanks to my counterpart, Ill Rusty Glendenning and his team for ensuring another successful biennial Honors Weekend event.
Our November 19th meeting will start with dinner at 6:30pm, followed by a tyled meeting and we will hold the election and installation of officers for all four bodies of the A.A.S.R. in the Valley of Orlando. Please remember all members are welcome to attend the dinner and the evenings meeting, but please keep in mind the COVID protocols and directives number 5 and 6 issued by the Grand Master and followed by our Sovereign Grand Inspector General. FYI – current COVID protocols will be followed to ensure the safety of us all. If you are comfortable following these protocols, please come out and enjoy the fraternal fellowship of the evening.
As a reminder, the Master Craftsman study group is well underway, and certificates of completion are being received and officially presented to those Brothers who earned them. Several of our new brothers have indicated they would like to join a Master Craftsman study group, but not start in phase two or three which the existing group has recently started. Therefore, a second group has been assembled and started with “Esoterika” or the first module. If you are interested in participating in this monthly study group, which has recently started, please contact Ill Keith at the Valley office via 407-657-4550 or via eMail at GenSecOrl@gmail.com. He will ensure you are added to the mailing list and receive all invitations to participate via ZOOM. Participating in a study group enhances the Master Craftsman experience for everyone, and starts the building of a fraternal friendship between those brothers who participate.
In each article I submit to the eNews, I encourage you to read the bi-monthly Scottish Rite Journal, and hopefully you are reading and enjoying the excellent articles and information contained therein.
Before signing off, in this edition there is a letter from Dad R.J. “Jody” Meguiar, Executive Officer of Florida DeMolay. Please take a minute or two to read his letter and if you are able, your support would be appreciated.
Until next time, remember the many things for which you are thankful! Be safe in your travels; “whisper wise counsel in the ear of an erring brother;” and respect the dignity of all, as it makes you and our fraternity stronger one action at a time. We want to ensure that what we are enjoying today will be available for those who will follow. Simply stated – “We lead the way today, so those who follow us can lead the way tomorrow!” Thanks for your continued support and participation, and may the “Spirit of Fraternity” reign supreme within our “Valley of Orlando!”
Fraternally,
Ill Chester A. “Chet” King, 33°
