My Brothers all:

I am ecstatic with what I received in the mail a few days ago and thought I would share it with you in the edition of the eNews.  As you know the Valley Membership Achievement Project, better known as VMAP, is the focus of our efforts toward providing the best Scottish Rite experience we can to all our members within the Valley of Orlando.  With the help of the various VMAP category leaders, we submitted the 2018 workbook, which included all our accomplishments for the year.  Below is the verbiage of the letter I received with Cordial and Fraternal greetings from Ronald A. Seale, our Sovereign Grand Commander.

To the members of the Valley of Orlando in the Orient of Florida:

It is with great pleasure that I have the opportunity to congratulate the Valley and its leadership for its dedication and diligent participation in the Valley Membership Achievement Project, VMAP.  It is only with this involvement and support of all brothers in your Valley that VMAP will have a positive effect on the experience of being a Scottish Rite Mason and provide each brother with the very best Scottish Rite experience possible.

On behalf of the Supreme Council, Mother Council of the World, of the Inspectors General Knights Commanders of the House of the Temple of Solomon of the Thirty-third Degree of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry of the Southern Jurisdiction, that the Valley of Orlando is hereby recognized as having completed all of the requirements and is the recipient of the 2018 Valley Membership Project Achievement Award.

Your entire Valley can take justifiable pride in the fact that it has embraced the goal of offering a superior membership experience to all Scottish Rite Masons that are privileged to maintain their membership within the Valley.  Completion of VMAP is yet another token in evidence of the dedication of this Valley to excellence in leadership and participation.

Letter from Ill:. Ronald A. Seale, 33°, Sovereign Grand Commander

My Brothers All, I thank you for your participation and the leadership you display in creating the best Scottish Rite experience we can provide our brothers.  The meetings you attend, the degrees you confer, the education you provide, and the mentoring you do with those brothers who come to you is just a part of what it takes to achieve this award.  Please keep up the good work, you are making a difference, and it is greatly appreciated!

Our June 28th Meeting is a busy one. That evening will include the Ring Ceremony; to welcome our new Brothers, the knighting ceremony of the Knights of Saint Andrew, a presentation by the Director of our local Language Learning Disorder Clinic, and Ill:. Rick Hoover, 33°, Deputy of the Orient of Florida who will share his thoughts on the Scottish Rite in Florida. That evening he would be pleased to accept a donation from you to the Foundation, which supports the fourteen Learning Disorder clinics we have in the state of Florida.  Dinner is at 6:30 p.m., and an open meeting will start promptly at 7:30 p.m.  Please join us for a busy evening and bring your lady and any brothers and their ladies you would like to introduce to the Scottish Rite.

Until next time, remember the many things for which you are thankful!  Be safe in your travels; “whisper wise counsel in the ear of an erring brother;” and respect the dignity of all, as it makes you and our fraternity stronger one action at a time.  We want to ensure that what we are enjoying today will be strong for those who will follow.  Simply stated – “We lead the way today, so those who follow us can lead the way tomorrow!”  Thanks for your continued support and participation; and may the “Spirit of Fraternity” reign supreme within our “Valley of Orlando!”

Fraternally,

Ill:. Chester A. “Chet” King, 33°
