For the month of April ’25 we enjoyed a successful “Spring Reunion” and welcomed ten (10) new members to our ranks. This was possible because of the support received from various committees such as the Kitchen Crew, Stage Crew, Sound and Lights Crew, and Costumes and Props. Thanks to you all! Special thanks to the Team of Two who do a superb job of ensuring each member joining us is provided with an overview of what lessons will be shared with them through the degrees experienced over the weekend. Many thanks to those many brothers of the Valley of Orlando who spent the weekend conferring the various degrees offered.

My Brothers All: Please note that our May 2025 meeting will be on Friday the 23rd and will begin with another wonderful meal provided by Brother Chet Tokar and his Culinary Masters. Dinner will be at 6:30pm, followed by a tiled meeting. The officers of the Chapter of Rose Croix will open, close and conduct the meeting for the evening. Please note that since the meeting is tiled, only members can attend. Ladies may enjoy dinner followed by social time; an opportunity to make new friends and learn more about one another.

In each article prepared for the eNews, you are encouraged to also read the bi-monthly Scottish Rite Journal, and hopefully enjoy the excellent articles and information contained therein. The March/April 2025 edition of the Scottish Rite Journal offered an interesting article on page 8 that is titled “Leaving a Legacy Through Insurance.” There are many Brothers and/or their families that would find this information beneficial.

The 2025 Short Talk Bulletins will no doubt provide some interesting reading. Take a few minutes and read those articles that get your attention. I encourage you to obtain a copy and take 10 minutes to read and reflect. The one titled “Every Single Human Being” was particularly interesting.

Until next time, remember the many things for which you are thankful!  Be safe in your travels; “whisper wise counsel in the ear of an erring brother;” and respect the dignity of all, as it makes you and our fraternity stronger one action at a time.  We want to ensure that what we are enjoying today will be available for those who follow. Simply stated – “We lead the way today, so those who follow us can lead the way tomorrow!”  Thanks for your continued support and participation and may the “Spirit of Fraternity” reign supreme within our “Valley of Orlando!”

ILL Keith and myself traveled to Titusville to install the Officers of the newly activated New Smyrna Beach Scottish Rite Club. Congratulations to all and we look forward to hearing how you and the club are growing.

I hope you are off to a good start for your 2025 year, and may you and yours be blessed with health, happiness and prosperity as the year continues.

Fraternally,

Ill Chester A. “Chet” King, 33°
