My Brothers All: We are off and running with many activities planned for this year. In my Jan ’25 comments I shared that the Valley of Orlando enjoyed another successful year and thanks goes to each and every member who participated and made a difference. Our tyled January 24th Stated Meeting included the annual “State of the Valley” presentation. I hope you realize how important your participation is to ensure a successful 2025.

Please note that our March meeting will be on Friday the 28th and will begin with another wonderful meal provided by Brother Chet Tokar and his “Culinary Masters.” Dinner will begin at 6:30pm. An open meeting will follow featuring the “Ceremony of Remembrance & Renewal.”

I was extremely pleased to see many (I believe 14) Worshipful Master’s in attendance from Lodges in the area we serve which is the 13th, 15th, 16th, and 17th districts.

Our focus should now be on the first Reunion of the 2025 year. Let’s be ready, and give those brothers who have chosen to join us, something to remember.

In each article prepared for the eNews, you are encouraged to also read the bi-monthly Scottish Rite Journal, and hopefully enjoy the excellent articles and information contained therein. There are many informative articles contained therein. The March/April 2025 edition of the Scottish Rite Journal offered an interesting article on page 8 that is titled “Leaving a Legacy Through Insurance.” There are many Brothers and/or their families that would like to leave a gift to remember loved ones such as husbands, fathers, or other relatives.

The 2025 Short Talk Bulletins will no doubt provide some interesting reading. Take a few minutes and read those articles that get your attention. I encourage you to obtain a copy and take 10 minutes to read and reflect. The one titled was particularly interesting.

The calendar for the 2025 year is included in this edition of the eNews and will continue to be included in each eNews edition.

Until next time, remember the many things for which you are thankful!  Be safe in your travels; “whisper wise counsel in the ear of an erring brother;” and respect the dignity of all, as it makes you and our fraternity stronger one action at a time.  We want to ensure that what we are enjoying today will be available for those who follow. Simply stated – “We lead the way today, so those who follow us can lead the way tomorrow!”  Thanks for your continued support and participation, and may the “Spirit of Fraternity” reign supreme within our “Valley of Orlando!”

I hope you are off to a good start for your 2025 year, and may you and yours be blessed with health, happiness and prosperity in 2025.

Fraternally,

Ill Chester A. “Chet” King, 33°
