Another year has flown by and a heartfelt thanks is extended to all our Brothers in the Valley for the many hours of participation and commitment to our organization. Those who have assumed officer positions and the herculean effort in the spring and fall reunions serve as an exemplary demonstration of leadership to all new members. Our Valley is pleased to announce that we welcomed over 45 new members this year. A focus for the coming year should be to surpass simply welcoming new Brothers but finding new opportunities for their participation.
Although I was unable to attend this year’s Holiday Dinner (congratulations to my granddaughter on her college graduation), the feedback received is stellar. Apparently, this was the best one yet! Thanks to everyone who made this event happen! With that kind of pressure, plans for next year are underway and your suggestions are welcome. Please send your input to me so we are sure not to disappoint in the coming year.
We are cautiously optimistic that we no longer have a tortoise issue. The biologist who worked with us confirmed that the burrow is no long longer in use. The State has cleared the path for us to secure our modular buildings. In the near future, WilScot will be on site to assure the proper structural support is in place.
With so many willing participants in our events, it’s difficult to call out everyone by name but know you are all very much appreciated. I think we can agree that special thanks is deserving to all but in particular to Bro. Jay Caballero for his leadership in fundraising and to Bro.Chet Tokar and his team for a year of delicious meals and their care of the kitchen. …and special thanks to Keith who manages everything else and keeps us on the level. Thanks, also, to our Ambassadors who ensure local brothers find opportunities for more active participation.
As we look toward the new year, we see a vison of additional opportunities for growth and fellowship. Is there someone out there that might be interested in coordinating a ladies’ program on meeting nights? Help is also welcome for setting up for events; perhaps there is an opportunity for a coordinator. There are always opportunities to support fundraising efforts. I look forward to hearing new year of fresh ideas that keep brotherly bonds growing.
