I hope that everyone is doing well.  I wanted to take an opportunity to provide you all with an update.

As I am sure you are aware the Scottish Rite Foundation of Florida supports Speech & Learning Centers throughout the State of Florida.  The Valley of Orlando participates in this by committing to support the Center of Speech & Learning located right here in Orlando.

I am happy to announce over the last several years the Valley of Orlando has been successful in meeting our annual budget.  We are fortunate to have an anonymous donor who matches us for our donations.  We must keep in mind that this generosity is not guaranteed to us every year. In reviewing the performance of the donations over the past few years I noticed an area of concern.

As you can see from the table below if it was not for our anonymous donor we would have had a shortage of between $5,000 and $13,000 in the past 5 years, with an average shortage of $8,872..

We all realize the great works that YOUR Scottish Rite Foundation of Florida does, and you all should be proud.  However, I must ask that you consider your ability to support this most worthy cause.  The Valley of Orlando is obligated to donate $40,000 for the fiscal year 2024-2025 which ends June 30, 2025.

So, I ask you, Brothers, Family and Friends to consider donating any amount that you can to help “Your” Scottish Rite Foundation of Florida make our goal.  Remember, the money you donate helps these children obtain therapy for their speech and learning limitations.  The money you donate is the only way that these children can get the help they need.

Donations may be made by check made payable to the Scottish Rite Foundation of Florida and mailed to P.O. Box 5736 Winter Park, FL. 32793-5736 or online through our Valley website srorlando.com or the Foundation website srfof.org.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to myself, Ill. Albright or Ill. King.

In closing, thank you for all you have done, are doing, and will do for our fraternity.

Fraternally,

Jay Cebollero, 32° KCCH
